OSHA cites Hattiesburg poultry plant for more violations
SUMMARY: OSHA has cited a Hattiesburg poultry plant, Mar-Jac Poultry, for safety violations, including inadequate access to toilet facilities, missing lockout tagout devices, and lacking machine guarding. These violations resulted in $46,553 in penalties. The plant was also under fire for the death of a 16-year-old boy, Duvan Perez, who was killed at the facility in July 2023.
