The 10th Annual Empowering Communities for A Healthy Mississippi Conference will be kicked off by an called “Let's Bike & Hike Mississippi.”

Beginning this Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at 319 Meadowbrook Rd. in , in honor of May being High Blood Pressure Awareness Month, members of the public are invited to get a blood pressure screening and vaccination courtesy of H.E.A.L Mississippi

Charge downgraded for 2nd teen charged in death of 14-year-old in Jackson

SUMMARY: Two teenagers involved in the of a 14-year-old in had their charges downgraded. Maxle Mooneyham, 16, is now charged with tampering with evidence instead of murder, and Siyaski Crawford, 15, is now charged as an accessory after the fact to murder instead of murder. John Foote, 17, remains charged with murder. The victim, Cameron Horne-Crook, was shot and killed in March. Mooneyham and Crawford admitted to moving Horne-Crook's body after the shooting. The court set bonds for Mooneyham and Crawford at $100,000 and $75,000, respectively. Horne-Crook's older brother was also killed in a separate shooting incident.

Woman pleads guilty to embezzling from Brandon High band booster funds
