SUMMARY: Tensions between Israel and Iran escalate over nuclear weapons, with President Trump stating he may decide within two weeks whether the U.S. will strike Iran, while still leaving room for diplomacy. Israel has targeted Iranian military sites after missile attacks, with Prime Minister Netanyahu vowing to prevent Iran from destroying Israel. China urges an end to the conflict, offering to facilitate communications. Reports suggest instability within Iran’s regime, with the exiled crown prince claiming internal collapse. Iran’s foreign minister plans talks in Geneva. Meanwhile, rescue missions are underway to evacuate 1,500 Americans from the Middle East, some arriving in Tampa, Florida.

After a week of fighting between Israel and Iran, President Donald Trumps says he could decide within the next two weeks whether the United States will strike Iran, keeping the chance of more negotiations open. Trump has maintained that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.

U.S. children also face higher mortality rates compared to peers in other wealthy countries, with more deaths from prematurity, sudden infant death, firearms, and accidents. Experts warn current policies, including cuts to health programs, may worsen trends. Researchers urge a comprehensive approach examining children’s environments city-by-city to address these complex health challenges.

SUMMARY: Search and rescue teams continue efforts in central Texas following devastating flash floods that have killed 82 people, including 28 children in Kerr County alone. At least 41 individuals remain missing, including ten girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic. The floods caused catastrophic damage, uprooting trees, sweeping away homes, and breaking concrete slabs, with locals describing it as a once-in-a-generation disaster. Rescue efforts are concentrated along the Guadalupe River, with helicopters active daily. Volunteers and residents are aiding cleanup, but the area still faces potential flooding, heightening the urgency of ongoing search missions.

Search and rescue operations continue across Texas’ Hill Country days after a 20-foot “deadly flood wave” rushed down the Guadalupe River, decimating communities and leaving at least 82 people dead with dozens still missing.
