Vehicle struck and killed man lying in the road, Alcorn County sheriff says

Sheriff Ben Cwell identified the victim as Timothy Mackin, who was hit by a female driver while she was on her way to work. The incident occurred near 94 County Road 650 in the Union Center area around 5:45 am. The driver initially thought she hit a deer and returned with her husband to find Mackin. Authorities are investigating why Mackin was lying in the road.
