Columbus Air Force Base brings assistance to other facilities
SUMMARY: Columbus Airforce Base is playing a significant role in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts by providing temporary housing for military aircraft and personnel from affected bases. As of September 28, the base has accommodated 100 search and rescue responders from Davis Moffett Airforce Base, who utilized the gym for overnight preparations. Additionally, the base has sheltered 16 aircraft, including three helicopters and two C130 planes from Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. No. 9 Ole Miss falls to No. 13 LSU 29-26 in overtime
